Synap Hospital – Best Psychiatry Clinic

Suicide Prevention Center

Our Suicide Prevention Center provides immediate, compassionate emotional support and professional crisis intervention for individuals experiencing overwhelming distress, hopelessness, or suicidal thoughts. With round-the-clock availability and a dedicated multidisciplinary team, we are committed to being a lifeline when it matters most — helping individuals find safety, hope, and a path forward through their darkest moments.

The Suicide Prevention Center at our facility is a dedicated, compassionate space designed to support individuals in their most vulnerable moments. We understand that suicidal thoughts and emotional crises do not follow a schedule — which is why our trained crisis counsellors, psychiatrists, and support staff are available around the clock, every day of the year, ready to listen without judgement and to act with urgency and care.

Our centre uses a structured, evidence-based approach that combines immediate crisis de-escalation, thorough psychiatric assessment, and long-term safety planning to ensure every individual who walks through our doors — or reaches out to us — receives the right level of care at the right time.

Our Suicide Prevention Services Include:

  • Crisis Intervention Support: When someone is in acute distress, our crisis counsellors provide immediate one-on-one intervention — in person, over the phone, or via our teleconsultation platform. We use validated risk assessment tools to understand the severity of each situation and respond with the appropriate level of care, from outpatient counselling to emergency psychiatric admission.
  • Emotional Guidance & Active Listening: At the heart of our approach is genuine human connection. Our therapists are trained in compassionate, non-judgemental active listening that helps individuals feel heard, valued, and less alone. By creating a safe space for open expression, we help people begin to process overwhelming emotions and regain a sense of hope and control.
  • 24/7 Assistance Availability: Mental health crises rarely occur at convenient times. Our helpline and crisis response team operate 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Whether it is 3 AM or a public holiday, someone is always available to answer, support, and guide individuals and families through emergencies.
  • Personalised Safety Planning: Following crisis stabilisation, every patient works with a dedicated clinician to develop a tailored safety plan — a practical, step-by-step guide that identifies personal warning signs, coping strategies, supportive contacts, and emergency steps to follow if distress escalates again in the future.
  • Family & Caregiver Support: Suicide risk affects not just the individual but everyone around them. We offer dedicated psychoeducation sessions, family counselling, and guidance for caregivers so that loved ones understand how to respond effectively during a crisis, reduce harmful triggers at home, and provide sustained emotional support throughout the recovery process.
  • Post-Crisis Follow-Up & Relapse Prevention: Recovery is a journey, not a single event. After initial crisis care, our team maintains regular structured follow-up through outpatient appointments, therapy sessions, and helpline check-ins to monitor progress, adjust treatment plans, and ensure individuals remain connected to the support they need to stay safe and well.

Our Suicide Prevention Center is staffed by a multidisciplinary team of consultant psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, trained crisis counsellors, social workers, and nursing professionals who collaborate closely to deliver seamless, holistic care. We work in partnership with local emergency services, general hospitals, and community health networks to ensure a coordinated and rapid response whenever lives are at risk.

If you or someone you know is in crisis, please do not wait — reach out to our team immediately. Early intervention saves lives, and every conversation matters. We are here for you, always.
